what is kosher?

The term kosher refers to the Jews' dietary laws. This includes never mixing meat with milk, never processing milk-derived products on equipment used for processing meat products and ensuring that kosher birds and animals are slaughtered according to Jewish law.

types of kosher foods:

There are three categories of kosher foods:
  • Milk - any product derived from milk or any product processed on equipment used for milk-products.
  • Meat - any product derived from kosher meat or kosher fowl or products processed on equipment used for meat-products.
  • Parve: All products that do not contain meat or milk ingredients and which were not processed on equipment used for either one.
What will determine a company's ability to become kosher will depend both on the source of its ingredients and the status of its equipment.

why become kosher?

The demand for kosher food is growing. Kosher products appeal to a wide consumer market, such as those with allergies, vegetarians, other religious people and those who are gluten free, as kosher food is carefully monitored and labelled.

We look forward to working with you and to providing the highest quality kosher products!
